What we do

Our instructors maintain a flexible schedule to fit your busy schedule. Lessons are private and in-home, where applicable.

Subjects Offered

Drama

Our instructors have years of experience, both from the academic world and the professional world. Our instructors focus on Meisner and Stanislavski techniques, which emphasizes listening and responding to stimuli in an organic fashion.

Our instructors can help prepare a monologue, or study and deconstruct scenes. You will improve your confidence as a performer and build public speaking skills.

Piano
Our instructors focus on the Alfred method of teaching piano. The Alfred method uses colored pictures and graphics to help with the teaching process. This method utilizes the concept of position playing and reward games. Students will learn to read intervals and to see the intervallic relationship between notes. This method is great for younger students and beginners. It makes the daunting task of learning a new instrument fun and fulfilling. Our instructors will have you playing your first song in no time.

Music Theory
Our instructors teach both modern day harmony/counterpoint and the history of music theory: starting with Gregorian chant through 20th century modern theory. Whether you want to explore the world of pop music, or analyze Beethoven string quartets, we can give you the musical vocabulary you need.

Voice
Our techniques focus on vocal pedagogy: the physiological process behind vocal construction and the artistic interpretation the voice can have on a musical piece. Our instructors teach classical vocal production emphasizing healthy placement, phonation, posture, resonance, diction and vocal registration. If you are looking to prepare for an upcoming audition, our instructors can help by selecting the appropriate music for you and the project.
